Senior Project Manager Scott Riedy will be retiring from APG on July 28th, after 30 years of dedicated service. He will be truly missed! The Clearwater office just won’t be the same. But, as Ron Mueller remarked, “His presence will be missed daily, but a job well done deserves a reward.” He plans to use his retirement to fish, bike, check several items off his “honey-do list,” and spend quality time with his eight young grandchildren (all under the age of seven!)

Over the years, Scott has cultivated lasting relationships with many people in the industry, some of whom have ended up at APG. People never have to guess where they stand with him, which makes for a very open and honest working environment. His frankness, strong sense of humor, and mischievous nature bring levity into otherwise tense or stressful situations. In the end, people who work with him feel the same as Sherry Tew, “I truly adore him as a coworker and friend.”

Scott’s attention to detail and focus on the project at hand have been an inspiration to those around him. He sets high standards and motivates those on his team to meet them. Over the years, customers have written in about Scott’s outstanding work. Several of the projects he has managed have won awards for excellence, including St. Joseph’s Hospitals North and South, two of the largest projects in our company’s history!

Here are a few comments from his fellow employees:
“I will miss my ‘sounding board,’ we both bounced project management issues, letter editing, and everyday stresses off each other for nearly 20 years. On really stressful days Scott is my go-to man! Wishing him an enjoyable retirement!”

“I have a tremendous level of respect and admiration for Scott.”

“Regardless of the length of our conversation, I always walk away with a smile on my face. His antics will certainly be missed. He has offered some good work advice as well, but I will always remember his goofy remarks.”

We owe you a huge debt of gratitude, Scott, for your 30 years of hard work and dedication. Your APG family wishes you a long and happy retirement!
