Demonstrate proper use of tools including drills, band saws, and hand tools.
Demonstrate proper knowledge of APG safety guidelines.
Learn to successfully interpret drawings, plans and specifications.
Learn about installation and termination of network and audio visual infrastructure, hardware and equipment, including buildout of telecommunication/audio visual rooms which includes the installation of racks and cabinets (both floor and wall mounted), ladder racking, and termination patch panels and blocks.
Learn about the installation of cable pathways which include J-Hooks, wall penetration sleeves, and cable tray.
Assist with the installation (pulling) and termination of Category (UTP), coaxial, fiber optic, and multi-pair cable.
Assist with the installation and labeling of all wiring, plates, racks, and as required per plans and specs.
Clean and maintain site conditions throughout project.
Assist Lead Technician to complete project within allotted timeframe.
Assist Project Foreman and field on projects with any task, as requested.
Attend group and/or manufacturer’s training and certification programs as required by General Superintendent for manufacturer and certification needs.
Qualifications:
MUST be minimum 18 years or older.
MUST have a valid Florida Driver’s License.
MUST have your own transportation.
Clean driving record and ability to gain security clearance if needed.
MUST be a US Citizen or possess a valid work permit.
MUST have a High School Diploma (or equivalent).
MUST have a FELONY FREE record.
MUST be DRUG FREE before and during employment.
MUST have a NEAT APPEARANCE.
