Last month, APG had the honor of hosting Kelso Industries’ Third Quarter Town Hall Broadcast at our Clearwater Training Center. This marked the first time a Kelso Town Hall has been held at one of its operating companies, and we worked hard to make it special!
APG President Michael Henley opened the broadcast and welcomed attendees who joined in person and remotely. Kelso CEO Steve Carroll, CFO Mike Doyle, and CHRO/CMO Matthew Sadowski then provided updates on the company’s continued growth and performance, discussing what those developments mean for employees across the organization. They also outlined a number of improvements underway, many of which were shaped directly by feedback gathered from recent employee engagement surveys.
A highlight of the afternoon came when APG Vice President Jonathan Henley, representing Kelso, presented the “Values in Action” award. This quarter, the honor was given to our own VDC Group Manager, Artie Hackett, and the entire APG VDC team in recognition of their demonstration of the Kelso core value of innovation. Jonathan highlighted how their willingness to tackle new ideas has been critical to expanding our prefabrication capabilities, which is already having a major impact on our largest projects. Congratulations to Artie and his team on this well-deserved recognition!
The boradcast concluded with a brief question-and-answer session, which offered employees across more than 40 operating companies the opportunity to engage directly with Kelso’s leadership.
After the Town Hall, APG employees, Kelso executives, and partners from visiting operating companies gathered for a Food Truck Social, giving everyone an opportunity to unwind and enjoy some great food together. Our warehouse team and employees organized a build-your-own taco bar with chips, desserts, a Kelso-themed cake, and entertainment for everyone to enjoy.
Hosting this event was a true team effort, and it would not have been possible without the dedication of everyone who helped plan and execute it. We extend our sincere thanks to everyone who contributed, and to Kelso Industries for the opportunity to host such a special occasion.
We look forward to the next Town Hall and the continued opportunities to connect, collaborate, and grow together!
