FLORIDA POLYTECHNIC UNIVERSITY

APG Technology and APG Security played key roles in building Florida’s newest public university campus on I-4. Low voltage installations included the structured cabling, access control, video surveillance, voice and unified messaging, digital signage, audio/visual, and intelligent building integration systems for the entire campus.

By the numbers, APG installed:

  • 1,800 workstation ports with 100% cross connectivity
  • 78 miles of CAT6 cable
  • 7,000 feet of Fiber Optic cable
  • 22 custom lecture podiums

In 2014, APG was honored by the Independent Electrical Contractors association with the National Award for Excellence in Low Voltage Construction, beating projects from around the country, for our work on the Innovative Science and Technology Building. This particular building is 160,000 square-feet, including classrooms, lecture halls, offices and meeting rooms, and 37 laboratories.

Later, in 2015, APG was honored by the Associated Builders and Contractors, Florida Gulf Coast Chapter, with an Eagle Award for Excellence In Construction.
