APG is making significant strides in the construction of the AdventHealth Riverview project, a large healthcare facility that will serve the growing Hillsborough community. This state-of-the-art, approximately 282,000-square-foot hospital is set to open with 82 beds. It will offer a comprehensive range of services including emergency care, cardiology, obstetrics, gynecology, and more. Plans for future expansion include adding another 200+ beds.

Our Electrical Construction group is leading the installation of all electrical systems — everything from power distribution and lighting within the hospital to the complete electrical buildout of the adjacent Medical Office Building. Additionally, our team is responsible for the installation of site lighting, ensuring the entire campus is well-illuminated and operationally efficient.

A key component of our work is the construction of the Central Energy Plant, which will provide the hospital with reliable power, especially during emergencies. Our team is meticulously coordinating the installation of these systems to ensure seamless integration with the hospital’s infrastructure.

Through the advanced Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology our team is using on this project, they have been able to identify and provide solutions for design and installation challenges prior to and during construction. Collaborating with the field team, our BIM group tailored the model to meet their specific needs and facilitate precise system coordination, reducing the potential for costly adjustments and ensuring the project runs smoothly and efficiently.

Safety is a top priority, and APG is also responsible for the design and installation of the hospital’s fire alarm systems. By implementing state-of-the-art fire alarm technology, we ensure that the hospital meets the highest standards of safety and compliance.

As the project progresses, APG remains dedicated to delivering quality and excellence in every aspect of our work, with the completion date set for Fall 2024. This project underlines our ability to deliver complex, large-scale systems that meet the highest standards of performance and reliability, further cementing our role in advancing healthcare infrastructure in West Central Florida.
