FUN FOR THE FAMILY: The 40th Annual APG Family Picnic

On Saturday, November 9th, we gathered for our 40th Annual Family Picnic at Busch Gardens, a beloved destination that always delivers excitement and memorable experiences. Employees and their families embraced thrilling rides, close-up animal encounters, and diverse attractions, creating a perfect atmosphere to relax, enjoy, and connect with friends and loved ones.

Throughout the day, employees and guests explored all that Busch Gardens has to offer, with many taking advantage of the park’s exciting activities and sights. When the public hours ended, everyone gathered at the Gwazi Pavilion for a delicious dinner. With meal vouchers in hand, attendees savored everything from classic burgers to indulgent desserts while catching up with colleagues and friends.

Evening festivities continued in the Egypt area, where we enjoyed exclusive access to top rides like Cheetah Hunt, Cobra’s Curse, and Montu. Tamer guests tested their skills with unlimited games in the carnival areas, while thrill-seekers had their fill of adrenaline on the rides. The excitement then shifted to Pantopia, where the new Phoenix Rising coaster and other rides were open to guests, along with snacks and drinks for all to enjoy.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this milestone year a success. Special recognition goes to Bonnie Gerhart and Busch Gardens’ Nevar Campbell, along with her assistant Haley Johnson, for their exceptional efforts in planning this event. It was a day filled with laughter, connection, and lasting memories, and we’re already looking forward to next year’s Family Picnic!
