Construction Manager: Holder Construction
In 2014, Holder Construction awarded APG the electrical contract for the new USAA Crosstown Center in Tampa. This is a new construction, 257,600 square foot office building that provides enough office space to employ as many as 1,200 people.
In addition to the new office space, the project also included an 8,160 square foot Central Energy Plant and a 412,240 square foot parking garage. APG installed over 350,000 linear feet of conduit. Normal power is supplied to two 4,000A switchboards and two 3,200A switchboards by TECO feeds. From the CEP, two emergency generators provide 4,500kW of backup power while two 450kW UPS units provide instant power to sensitive equipment.
Scheduling was a top priority and our team’s crew size reached up to 65 during the peak of the project. Thanks to all that manpower, we were able to complete the entire parking garage in just three months!
