In addition to the new office space, the project also includes an 8,160 square foot Central Energy Plant and a 412,240 square foot parking garage. APG is installing over 350,000 linear feet of conduit, which is more than enough to stretch all the way from APG Clearwater to APG Lakeland! Normal power is supplied to two 4,000A switchboards and two 3,200A switchboards by TECO feeds. Because USAA provides a critical service, their design team made sure they will be prepared to weather any potential storms or lightning strikes. From the CEP, two emergency generators will provide 4,500kW of backup power while two 450kW UPS units provide instant power to sensitive equipment. Scheduling was a top priority and our team’s crew size reached up to 65 during the peak of the project. Thanks to all that manpower, we were able to complete the entire parking garage in just three months! We are on track and expect to finish construction this July.
All of us at APG were excited to earn this contract and we greatly appreciate being selected by Holder Construction as their electrical contractor of choice. We are proud of the hard work of our project manager, Anthony Ciquera, our superintendent, Josh Falini, and our entire team. Keep up the good work!
