The whirlwind evening began with individual awards for the ABC 2015 NEXGEN Leadership Class graduates, which included our own Anthony Ciquera and Kip Goulder. Graduation marked the end of a 7-month series of educational events designed to enhance leadership skills and construction knowledge. Later, Kip was summoned back to the stage to receive recognition as one of ABC’s “Top 20 under 40,” an award for young industry professionals committed to realizing their full potential and giving back to the community.
Next the Excellence in Construction Awards were distributed. These awards are given out to contractors dedicated to the highest levels of craftsmanship, and competition is intense. Ron Mueller was up first to accept a Merit Award on the PGT Industries project. Soon after, an Eagle Award was accepted by Dennis Kuhns and Keith Hoover for our technology work at Florida Polytechnic University. Jack Chonsky and Anthony Ciquera accepted yet another Eagle Award for St. Joseph’s Hospital Tampa – Central Energy Plant. Finally, our fourth major award of the night landed in the hands of Jonathan Henley and Sherry Tew, in recognition of our work at St. Joseph’s Hospital – South. Needless to say, we were very proud to hear the APG name again and again, and we’re sure that these types of awards remind our clients of the level of service and workmanship they can expect from APG.
Congratulations to everyone who contributes to our “excellence in construction,” especially those who worked on these four outstanding projects and those who helped prepare the award submissions to ABC. Keep up the excellent work!
