The transformation of the former Fort Homer Hesterly Armory in Tampa into a premiere recreation and event center was quite a challenge for every group of APG, but it turned into a shining beacon in the West Tampa neighborhood with new life breathed into the abandoned, mostly hollow structure. In partnership with Fleischman Garcia Architects, complete MEP engineering was provided by APG Engineering. From early in the design phase, APG provided design assistance and budgeting. On the construction side, APG provided all electrical , voice/data/video, fire alarm, access control, and video surveillance systems. This historic facility now boasts new fitness faciliities, an indoor basketball court, aquatics center, banquet center with event kitchen, City of Tampa Art Studio, Florida-Israel Business Accelerator, and Jewish Family Services main office, among other features.
