This three-phase expansion of the existing Brandon Regional Hospital adds 45,000 square feet to the facility, in addition to renovating other portions of the hospital. A new 84,000 square foot ER is being constructed, which will add 72 patient beds. This phase also includes state-of the art trauma rooms, private patient rooms, two new X-ray machines, and two CT machines. A new 1,000 kW generator and associated switchgear were also added.
Phase two, which opened in January 2017, includes eight new exam rooms, four new trauma rooms, centrally located imaging and a new ambulance entrance with helipad.
Phase three, which will opened in June 2017, added a dedicated 16 room pediatric department and dedicated pediatric emergency room entrance.
APG is providing all electrical and fire alarm installation, and is utilizing Virtual Design and Construction technology. All work has been performed with no reduction in hospital services or capabilities.
